In principle nearly each photo is suitable for the transformation in a 3D-model.
However, there are some points to consider:
The most important is that the head is to be seen largely enough and absolutely frontal in the photo. Our graphic and multimedia specialists examine each photo before the transformation in 3D for capability and prepare it graphically. (Screen window, dissolution, tone correction etc.). If a photo should not appear suitable for the transformation, we will inform you by e-mail.
- File formats: JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIF (GIF only with Logos)
- Photo size at least 1024 x of 768 pixels - optimal starting from 1600 x of 1200 pixels.
- Dissolution 150 dpi or 300 dpi - 72 dpi is also okay in the case of large photos
- Maximum file size of a photo 5 MB.
The following kinds of photos can be transformed into models in 3D:
- Digital photographs of digital cameras, camera phones and video fixed image

- Developed photos on photo paper. Send it by post – we will do the scan.
- Coloured, sepia or black-and-white photos. We transform the pictures into gray tones.

Is my photo suitable for the 3D transformation?
If you consider the following tips concerning your photo selection, everything will be fine:
- The better the quality of the original photo, the better the portrait in 3D.
- FRONTAL PORTRAIT EXPOSURE: Head with shoulders. Exposure directly from the front, view straightforward. The head may not look to the side.
- Complete head must be seen in the picture (ear to ear, vertex to shoulder)
- The motive may not be cutted. We cannot reconstruct missing picture components.
- The head may not be covered, also not partly.
- Hand in the motive (e.g. in the hair) is problematic, please avoid
- Hair may hang in the face, however may not cover.
- Hair, beard, decoration and (sunning) eyeglasses are also into the motive in 3D!
- Family or group photos with up to 8 persons is also possible, please ask us!
- We can transform the following animal portraits: Dog, cat and horse
We can not transform:
- Photographs, in which the head was not photographed frontally from the front
- Bodies are not convertible in 3D, only portraits . But we can cut out and transform from a large complete body photo the head.
- We cannot transform fingers into 3D, only hand with finger texture
- Headdress, like hat and cap can be problematic.
We examine each photo of you before we begin to transform into 3D. If a picture is not suitable, we send you an e-mail with suggestions for improvement.
